Hello everyone! A very special year has just ended. The Studio “Creative Music” has continued its activities on Zoom since March 2020 with success. Several concerts were organized to keep the students motivated: a Halloween concert on November 1, where the students dressed up for the occasion, made many happy! Followed by a Christmas concert and another in February… One of the advantages of Zoom concerts was that several grandparents living in Europe were able to attend their grandchildren’s concerts on several occasions during the year.
A creativity and musical improvisation workshop was held in March 2021, jointly with the students of the Marie Harmonie School of Music in Châteauguay, led by Marie-Hélène Rondot.
We ended the year in June with a video-zoom concert where the students had pre-recorded their performances on video. A whole achievement at the end of a very special and demanding year at all levels!
For my part, I completed a “solo piano” album of meditative improvisations for relaxation and the practice of Qi gong. The album had a nice reception and helped several people in this troubled period. You can listen to it and buy it on Bandcamp https://joseallard.bandcamp.com/album/reflets
